How to Create a Vehicle Position Sharing Link in a Specific Language

This article explains how to create a vehicle position sharing link displayed in a specific language. The process involves two steps: first, changing the display language in the web user's account settings, and then generating the sharing link.

1 Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have the following information:

  • Web user login, name, or ID

  • Required language for the interface and sharing link

  • Access to LCM (Locator Control Manager)


2 Changing the Display Language

Follow these steps to set the system language for the client's web user account.

  1. Log in to the client's Web user account.

  2. Click the Account name in the upper-right corner of the window.

  3. Select Account settings from the dropdown menu.

  4. In the left-side menu, click System configuration.

  5. Select the required language from the dropdown.

  6. Click the Save button to apply the changes.

3 Generating a Vehicle Position Sharing Link

Once the language is set, follow these steps to generate the sharing link through LCM.

  1. Log in to LCM (Locator Control Manager).

  2. Open the Web users tab.

  3. Search for the client's web user.

  4. Click View / Edit on the user record.

  5. Click Login to TT2.

  6. In the opened TT2 window, click the Account name in the upper-right corner.

  7. Select Generated links from the dropdown menu.

  8. Click New link.

  9. In the dialog window, select the vehicle and fill in the required information (link name, validity period, and access permissions).

  10. Click Share to generate the link.

⚠️ Warning: To delete unwanted links, select the checkboxes next to them and click the Delete selected button. This action cannot be undone.
