Settings for "Fuel tank report" module
Updated over a week ago

To increase the accuracy of automatic fixation of refueling by the fuel module, pay special attention to 3 main settings, depending on the rate of fuel change.

1. set the "Fuel variation (l)" parameter to at least 2.5% of the total capacity of the fuel tanks (this is the recommended value so that natural fluctuations in the fuel inside the tank during movement are not recorded as false "refueling" or "draining" ).

2. if, with the standard recommended values of “Settle time (sec)” as in the photo, refueling is not recorded in full, this may be due to the fact that the refueling duration needs to be increased.

So, according to the photo of refueling, its duration was 15 minutes (900 seconds) from the moment with the lowest fuel level to the moment with the highest fuel level.

In order for such refueling to be recorded, you can set “Settle time (sec)” by increasing the values to the average refueling duration, for example, just up to 900 seconds.

Especially for such cases as in the photo,

the use of additional conditions as described below will help:

3. If after the changes were made, refuelings began to be recorded, but false erroneous refuelings also appeared, then more stringent conditions for refueling should be introduced.

Pay attention to “Refueling speed (l/min)”, “Refueling amount (l)”, approximately calculating what the change in fuel level was during refueling.

For example, if the volume of fuel filled was 500 liters and refueling lasted 5 minutes, you can set the value for "Refueling speed (l/min)" to 100 liters, but we recommend starting with a value of 20-40% of this average value (i.e. at a refueling rate of 100 l/min - try setting the value from 20 to 40).

By analyzing changes in fuel level using graphs and tables and combining changes in 3 main parameters, you can significantly improve the operation of the fuel module.
