Please note that some aspects of the configuration cannot be changed by SMS:

Necessary tools:

Device Center (Advanced Configurator)

Steps:

Note: For this method to work, the device needs to have enabled "Enable configuration over SMS":

1 - Open Device Center.

2 - Go to Advanced mode:

3 - Go to File and Open CFG. Load the same configuration file from the device you want to modify. If you do not have it, just open a random configuration file from your device type (that has settings different than the ones you want to input):

4 - Modify the parameters you wish. Note: if you do not modify them, the change will not be contained in the setcfg command. In this case, we set Time with engine to 30s as an example:

5 - Go to File and click on Generate SMS:

6 - Input the SMS password if the target device has one:

7 - Copy the message and send it to the target device.

Result:

If the configuration was modified successfully, you will get the answer from the device: “Configuration parameter(s) was set!”.
