TrustTrack app does not update vehicle status

Description of the issue: there is a visible data delay on the TrustTrack mobile app but on the PC version, data is being updated as specified. On mobile app, data sometimes updates but gets stuck after opening other apps. In some cases, the data refreshes only after re-launching the app.

Causes: Android and other mobile OS have a power-saving mechanism to "snooze" inactive apps. Therefore, the data in TrustTrack app is "frozen" until the app is opened and a new data record is received to the server or, in some cases, the data refreshes only after re-launching the app.

Troubleshooting steps:

Note: the actual user interface may vary depending on the manufacturer of the phone.

Android versions 6/7:

1. Go to Settings > Battery.

2. Disable all battery savers and if there are app-specific restrictions, choose the TrustTrack app and disable power saving features for it.
3. Go to Settings > Apps - TrustTrack > Battery optimization.

4. Choose All apps from the top, find TrustTrack from the list and disable optimizations for the app.
Android versions 8 and newer:

1. Go to Settings > Battery.

2. Disable all battery savers and if there are app-specific restrictions, choose TrustTrack app and disable power saving features for it. On Android 9, we recommend disabling the Adaptive battery feature altogether.
3. Go to Settings > Battery > … (three dots) > Battery optimization.

4. Choose All apps from the top, find TrustTrack from the list and disable optimizations for the app.
5. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > All apps / App info > TrustTrack > Battery. Disable all background restrictions and optimizations.
