Description:
Client don’t receive all parameters from LCV, but some needed parameters are available from OBD.
Cause:
Some parameters are available from CANBUS (LCV) and some from OBD.
Actions:
First You need to check what is the Make Model and Year of clients vehicle and check supported vehicle list what parameters are available from LCV (https://vehicles.ruptela.com/?list=lcv) and what parameters are available from OBD (https://vehicles.ruptela.com/?list=obd)
In our example – Client had Renault Clio V 2019. And from CANBUS (LCV) he didn’t receive VIN number – that was important for him. So, we checked that VIN might be available from OBD, but from OBD – mileage was not available.
We suggested to connect both CANBUS (LCV) with EasyCan and OBD methods according to our manuals and configure both CAN lines in the device.
In OBD Supported vehicle list we see that recommended harness will be S – Standard, so connection will be to PIN6 (CAN 1 High) and PIN14 (CAN 1 Low), And LCV connection will be according to our manual to CAN Wires with EasyCan.
Configuration in this case will be:
CAN1 – OBD with manufacturer specific data set as Renault
CAN2 – LCV – Renault-Renault13
After installation we checked RAWData and made sure that all needed parameters are coming:
From RawData report we see that Mileage received from CANBUS parameter (CANBUS Distance) – when OBD Odometer, km – not available, Vehicle ID received from OBD VIN1,2,3 parameters.
To see VIN number in TT2 history (analyse by coordinates) You need to enable CAN vehicle ID checkbox in object settings:
