Solutions for customers:
• The customer can develop their own application based on our BLE protocol.
• Alternatively, a third-party application such as “nRF Connect” can be used.
Steps to Test the Solution
1. Install the nRF Connect application.
2. Prepare the configuration file:
2.1. Use mandatory registration with the smartphone as the registration source.
2.2. Add valid IDs to the Authorized IDs list.
• This ID should be created by you. Later, you will use it to log into the application.
• It can be a simple string, e.g., 0102030405060708.
• Enter this into the authorized ID list.
2.3. Enable the following parameters:
- Wireless enabled
- Wireless pair
- Wireless Driver ID
Note: Check the wireless PIN (it will be needed later to pair with the application).
After completing these steps, upload the configuration file.
3. Ensure the device is powered with at least 12V for proper operation.
4. Enable Bluetooth and location services on your smartphone.
5. Use application:
5.1 Scan
• Open nRF Connect and start scanning.
5.2. Connect
• When your device appears in the scan results, click Connect.
• The closer your phone is to the device, the stronger the signal (higher RSSI / less negative dBm).
• Note: Several attempts may be required to pair the device. If the connection is unsuccessful, try closing and reopening the application.
5.2 Enter the pairing code
• When prompted, enter the pairing code from the device configuration.
• Click Pair.
• If pairing is successful, the smartphone and device will be connected and bonded.
• In the LiveIO data, you will see that the device is paired.
5.3 Access the Driver ID characteristic
• Click on Unknown Service.
• A list of characteristics will appear.
• Locate the characteristic whose UUID starts with:
• This characteristic corresponds to the Driver ID.
5.4 Enter the Driver ID and confirm
• Enter one of the IDs you previously added to the Authorized IDs list.
• You should see the exact value you entered displayed.
• Driver registration is complete. In the LiveIO data you will see the same ID number.
