How to upload DDD files to the FTP server on TrustTrack

Description of the issue: The client wants to upload DDD files on TrustTrack to the FTP server.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Inform the client about the FMS documentation, there is a description of the functionality: Tachograph menu – FMS documentation

The client will need the following information:

  • Host name of the FTP server

  • Login

  • Password

The files are uploaded to the root directory of the FTP server.

In case the client does not want to set up the send themselves, proceed further.

2. Ask the client to specify the following:

  • Host name (address) of the FTP server

  • Port of the FTP server (as of 2022, only default port 21 is accepted; improvements are planned)

  • FTP Login

  • FTP Password

  • Which file(s) the client wants to upload to FTP

  • Whether the files need to be uploaded constantly (automatically)

3. Open the webuser

4. Navigate to the Tachograph module:

5. Select the file(s) client needs to upload and select "Upload selected":

6. In the window, enter the information provided by the client and click "Validate":

Note: in the example attached, TT2 testing FTP server is specified. More information: FTP: settings and tools - TrustTrack - Confluence (atlassian.net)

If successful, the notification will be displayed:

In case the following error is displayed, check the credentials, domain (hostname) or check with the client which port the server is using:

7. Click "Upload":

Expected result:

The files will appear in the FTP server.
